Crazy to think about, but Memorial Day is next month which means the first ‘official’ beach day! Think about what you’re putting into your body between now and then and you could be more prepared to rock your confidence than you think!

The left was taken a few years ago, not sure how much i weighed in it but my heaviest was 147. in november 2012 i started eating clean (as of feburary 2013 also vegetarian) and doing lots of hot yoga and running as well as some blogilates. the picture on the right it me in april 2013. i am about 5’5” and now am about 116 pounds. my next goals are to tone up a bit and gain more self love. biggest thing to remember is health and fitness (both physical and mental) is a journey, not a sprint.

Anonymous asked: im trying to improve my diet to you have any tips on how i should do it? like kinds of foods and methods which will help me

The most important thing to remember when considering your diet is definitely moderation.  Eating things in a more moderate way (balance your veggies, your sweets, and your dairy) and deny yourself nothing - side note, denying yourself nothing doesn’t mean eating a tin of cupcakes, it means if you want a cup cake, have just one.  Other than that make sure you’re getting a decent amount of fruits and veggies in your diet, not only are they tasty, filling, and low calorie, but they also are packed full of nutrients and antioxidants that your body needs to work properly. As far as grains/carbs go, try your best to stick to whole wheat.  It’s much more filling and actually goes a lot farther energy-wise in your body. What ever you do, do NOT crash diet or  ”cleanse”! It’s awful for your body and really does more harm than good.

For reference on day-to-day meals here’s a good scale to think about when you’re about to start cooking:

Ps. If you haven’t tried quinoa and lentils (grains) you should test it out, delicious and super filling!
